Harker Heights Sam's Club makes donation to SG-VHV Independence Day Picnic

Star Group – Veterans Helping Veterans received a boost to their 2015 Independence Day Picnic fund raising activities when Sam’s Club in Harker Heights presented them with a check for $2,500 during their May Monthly meeting.

Sam’s Club General Manager Cedric Kenner made remarks during the presentation that “paying it forward”
was a motto that his organization believed in and that the Star Group was doing so much good for so many retired and active duty service people.  He stated that his experience is if you just listen you will be amazed of the small request for help and yet how far it might go.

Mr Haywood, president of Star Group – Veterans Helping Veterans, agreed because he stated that before the Sam's Club in Harker Heights officially opened, SG-VHV allowed Sam's Club to set up at the annual Independence Day Picnic and pass out information and sign up members.  That kind gesture has paid off with an awesome new partnership!

THANK YOU Sam’s Club for the picnic donation!
Hope to see everyone at this year annual Independence Day Picnic to be held at the Copperas Cove Civic Center, on Saturday, June 27th from 11:00am – 3:00pm
