SG-VHV Members did an awesome job!
Again this year, Mr. Ronnie Viss of Scott's Funerals Home spearheaded a trip to South Texas to assist in building a home for a family in need. In the past he found that many of the children in the community were without toys to play with and children books to read or color.
He asked Star Group Veterans Helping Veterans could they help get a few items for these children.
This year Jonathan Haywood, President of SGVHV started early and Star Group Veterans Helping Veterans sponsored a 4 week Drive within the group and requested Toys, Books, Crayons and other items from the members to make a Child happy.
The response was overwhelming and the Star Group Veterans Helping Veterans Team netted far more than they had any previous year.
Everyone gave something to put a smile on the faces of these children. Daily bags of items were dropped off at the SGVHV Building or brought to the June monthly meeting. Several members made cash donations and Mr Haywood and a SGVHV Team went shopping.
THANK YOU SGVHV again this year as we were able to fulfill the needs and wants of many underprivileged children.
