SGVHV at Nov Monthly Meeting presents Vietnam Veterans with 50th Anniversary Commemorative Book

Star Group-Veterans Helping Veterans had a busy November monthly meeting. As this is the month of Veterans Day there were several items on the agenda to honor veterans. The meeting began with the Group welcoming guest and wishing all November babies a Happy Birthday.

Star Group Veterans Helping Veterans was honored as Catherine Blashack and Mr Abbott allowed the group to get a sneak preview of the wall panel of Star Group Veterans Helping Veterans that will be unveiled once it is permanently attached to the City of Copperas Cove Library wall. It was an awesome piece constructed by Mr Abbott and two of his friends.  It is an honor for Star Group Veterans Helping Veterans to be acknowledged. This presentation was a surprise to Mr Haywood, SGVHV President and we all know it’s hard to get something pass him.

Afterwards, SGVHV presented the  Vietnam Veterans Commemoration Books

Note this Book: Is in honor of over half a million Texans who served in Vietnam, a special Texas limited edition Vietnam War 50th Commemoration book, A Time to Honor: Stories of Service, Duty, and Sacrifice is available to them, compliments of Governor Greg Abbot and presented by Star Group Veterans Helping Veterans.  Special thanks to Ms Mellisa Thomas of the Texas Veterans Commission who made it possible by allowing SGVHV to distribute the books.

The Book was presented to each Veteran and/or Family Member by SGVHV Members, City of Copperas Cove Mayor Pro Tem Dan Yancey and Don Nicholas, District Field Rep of Congressman Roger Williams Ofc
