While attending the Killeen Chamber of Commerce mixer, Star Group – Veterans Helping Veterans received the unexpected donation from Michael Linnemann, President/Broker of Linnemann Realty.
The Killeen Chamber of Commerce has a third Friday Mixer, this month's event was hosted by Union State Bank. The event provided a wonderful fish dinner and several door prizes.
Speaking with Mr Linnemann, he shared after hearing the presentation about Star Group-Veterans Helping Veterans which was delivered by our president, Mr. Jonathan Haywood, he said to himself, if he won any of the cash door prizes he would give it to this group. The rules of the drawing states you must be present to win. Mr. Linnemann said he was leaving and had gotten to the train track (almost to his car) and something told him to stop. He waited and realized they were having the final drawing for $500 and he heard his name called. He let out a YEA! pumped his fist and hurried back to the event. Upon being presented as the winner he stated give the money to that group Star Group – Veterans Helping Veterans. For the first time ever, our president Mr. Haywood was shocked and at a loss for words.
The following day Star Group – Veterans Helping Veterans went to the beautiful office location of Linnemann Realty to receive this awesome donation from Mr. Linnemann.
