2014 SG-VHV Christmas Shopping Spree

2014 SG-VHV Christmas Shopping Spree for Thirteen (13) Families was held at the Copperas Cove & Killeen Walmarts on the 17th & 18th of December.

SG-VHV Team Members & area Non-Profit Organizations nominated families that were in need of assistance to ensure their children had a Merry Christmas.

SG-VHV Members sponsored families by donating money, nominating families, carrying bags, pushing shopping carts and calculating items to ensure everyone stayed on budget. Thirteen (13) Families were selected and enjoyed the Holiday Spirit. An area non-profit contacted SG-VHV at the last minute about one family's Serious Situation  and wanted to know if we could help. A SG-VHV Life-Time Members heard of the life struggle of this Single Mother of Two (2) and donated a Baby Stroller & $250 to ensure this family would have a great Christmas.

SG-VHV goal is to sponsor ten (10) families for our Christmas Shopping Spree each year and this the second year in a row that we have exceeded that goal. 

Families have situations or are just going through hard times that make Christmas just another day but SG-VHV Members changed that and showed them how much love is in the community & hearts of people who care.

The Kindness and encouragement shown to these families will assist them and us as we move forward and continue to learn that "Giving Without Expecting Anything In Return" is the Greatest Gift.
