Dr. Shawn Burgest and the Harker Heights Medical Clinic presented The Williams Family with Christmas at Star Group Veterans Helping Veterans December 2014 Monthly Meeting.
Dr. Shawn Burgest and the Harker Heights Medical Clinic, a SG-VHV Premier Corporate Sponsor was attending the Thanksgiving Basket giveaway and was made aware of a family that had lost everything in an electrical fire.
He then decided that he would make sure that this family had a good Christmas even though they had lost everything.
Dr. Burgest then asked SG-VHV to contact the Williams Family and get the sizes, ages and sex of all five (5) children. Members of SG-VHV then assisted with the coordination efforts to ensure each child was taken care of.
Once these items were purchased at the Copperas Cove Walmart the items were brought to SG-VHV Headquarters in Copperas Cove where the SG-VHV members wrapped all the presents for the family and during the December meeting Dr. Burgest with a little help from Santa Clause, presented the Williams Family with presents for their children.
Everyone in attendance stood & clapped in appreciation of Dr. Burgest & Staff for bringing joy and happiness to the Williams Family.
We also like to thank the SG-VHV Volunteers for assisting & playing a part in bringing joy to this family during the Holiday Season.
